Entering Tibet
In October 1938, the Xikang and Tibetan People’s Publicity Group for the Anti-Japanese War (the Publicity and Reward Group of the Central Government) decided to enter Tibet in two groups. One group of four people arrived in Lhasa in January 1939; the second batch of two, led by Liu Manqing, arrived in Lhasa on February 2, 1939,through Myanmar and India. They worked in Tibet for four months.
